Research project
We are continuing to study the isolation and structure elucidation of novel terpenoids and aromatic compounds possessing the biological activities such as antimicrobial, antibacterial, cytotoxic, anti-oxidative, antimalarial, NO production inhibitory activities from edible or inedible mushrooms, marine microorganisms, crude drugs, cymbidium, lichens and Cordyceps mushroom.

  • Antimicrobial active compounds against antibiotics resistant bacteria isolated from the mushrooms , liverworts and Lichens.
  • New cyclic peptides from the Cordyceps, Ophiocordyceps heteropoda possessing antimalarial activity.
  • New cyclic peptides from the marine Bacterium Photobacterium sp. possessing antimalarial activity.
  • Lifestyle habit illness preventive compounds from the edible mushrooms , liverworts and lichens.
  • Novel phenanthrenes and teriterpene saponins from Cymbidium Great Flower Marie Laurencin possessing antimicrobial, antibacterial, and NO production inhibitory activities.
  • Biotransformation of aromatic compounds and terpenoids isolated from the crude drugs, liverworts and mushrooms by microorganisms
